reenie11 1 Posted June 4, 2008 I'm slowly losing. My legs, arms, back, bottom are all slowly shrinking. I'm starting to look like I'm wearing clown pants, baggy everywhere. EXCEPT my stomach. My jeans all fit the exact same, even a little tight. Anyone else having this problem? Any ideas on how to get the stubborn rolls on the belly to shrink up a lil? lol
new_jewel 1 Posted June 4, 2008 my belly is my problem area too, every night when i sit down on the edge of my bed i make myself do 50 sit ups before i lay down to go to sleep and i have started to notice a difference i have lost 3 inches in my waist so far...i also try to do movements that involve stomach muscles if i dance to a song on the radio...its hard for us to tell at first because we look at ourselves everyday, mine seems to look like its having a melting affect lol with gravity pulling it down..im hope soon that it melts right off lol.... Northwest_Nance 0 Posted June 4, 2008 When my surgeon first examined me, he told me I would lose weight first around my abdomen, and that it would take longer to lose in my thighs and breasts. So far, I'm noticing the same thing you mentioned -- my pants are looser around my rear end and my thighs, but the waist bands are just as tight as ever. But, my surgery was 3 weeks ago tomorrow and I've been assuming my stomach is still swolen. I'm going to start doing crunches soon.... which I hate... but I think they're a necessary evil. My doctor said I can start doing them whenever I feel like it (I read somewhere on here that someone's doctor told them no abdominal exercises for 3 months, but my doctor told me he has no restrictions on exercise unless it hurts -- "let pain be your guide, if it hurts, don't do it"). Problem is, I just don't feel like doing them yet! And I think that's because I'm still having some port pain, rather than it being an excuse for not doing them! Newme76 0 Posted June 5, 2008 Thank you for bringing this up as I thought it was just me. I am only 2 weeks post op but my stomach doesn't seem to be budging. I'm losing mostly in my upper body where I can't afford to decrease in breast size  (TMI?). This makes me feel a lot better to know I am not alone with this.
