How's it going? Hope it's going good. I'm kind of stalled, but that seems to happen alot now that I've already lost over 100.

Drop me a line when you have a few minutes.

Take care.

Sure thing KarenMc.

How's it going? I'm guessing that you are either still on liquids or are on mushies.

I'm guessing your last name is a Mc name. Mine is actually McCoy, so from one Mc to another, congratulations on your band. Hope you have great success.

Let me know if you have any questions or if you need some advice. I'd be glad to try to help you out or point you in the right direction.

Take care.

Sue

Sue--

Can I ask you something too? I'm in Westfield (Exit 3 on Turnpike in Western MA). I used to work at BU and still drive in to Beantown frequently.

I was banded March 19 and need to lose a total of 100lbs. I lost 20 pre and 23 post surg. They gave me the 10cc APS band and put 2cc in at the time of surg. I was stalled for a number of weeks and now am at a CRAWL in losing. It's driving me nuts.

My immediate problem concerns fills. I had my first post-op fill four and a half weeks ago. They put in an additional 2cc to make a total of 4. I returned last week for another. He tried about 10 times and said the port was turned. They will do it with a fluoroscope. I see that you had your first fill with a fluoroscope so they can locate the hole. I'm wondering if I should just ask them to keep using a fluoroscope from now on so I can get and stay at a sweet spot faster. Did you continue getting fills that way? If so -- do you think the fluoroscope helped you achieve your fast weight loss?

Hi Penny:

I might be the wrong Sue. I didn't have fluoroscopy fills. Maybe you have me confused with someone else. You might want to post your question to the fills forum to get an answer from someone who already went through this.

I attribute my "fast weight loss" to 14 months of hard work and following the bandster rules 99% of the time. Exercise has been key. I found one that I love - trikking. I walk 6 out of 7 days too. Alot of my walking is on a steep hill near my home. That hill is probably a 1/4 mile in length and steep at one end.

Hoping for the best for you.

Hi Sue,

Just checking in. I am off antibiotics and my wound is closing more and more each day!!!! I am on what St. E's calls a progression diet where I progressively add more variety of foods each day. It is so good to actually crunch something.

I saw an informercial for your Trikke...it looks fun. I have a treadmill in my bedroom, a fluidity bar , pilates machine and air walker in my basement. I also have every exercise video ever made( slight exagerration but not by much).

I havent done much in the way of exercising yet due to the wound. I did go for a walk with my dtr and hubby last night. 1/4 of a mile from my house is a "soft serve" ice cream place and we all walked up after dinner. I had three spoonfuls of vanilla soft serve and boy did I bloat up!!! Might avoid that in the future.

I think thats it for now. Hope you are having a great week...

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

      2. BlondePatriotInCDA

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
