...the inexpensive "door mount" mirrors at the local discount hardware or home improvement store are big enough to show your entire body from side to side!

...you scope out restaurants with a great appetizer menu because you KNOW that's all you'll be able to eat!:wink2:

watching a nature programme you finally understand perfectly the difference between vomiting and regurgitation!

(Sorry if that one is gross)

You're strip searched at the airport because you no longer look like your passport photo.

I fly allot and am always getting the second look when they look at my photo and the way I look in my passport and how I look live.

Next March my license expires so I may break down and go in and get another photo and get the correct weight on my license.

LOL, getting a new license is great fun.

You know you are a bandster when . . . you go into renew your license and discover you weigh considerably less than the "pretend" number you told them last time, lol. This actually happened to me last year. :D

You know you are going down another pant size because your pants make you look like you have a baggy butt.

Okay, who's been peeking in MY closet! LOL

Oh so true!

You order your child size portion with a side of to-go-box.

ROFLOL!

Here's another: You know you're a bandster when you no longer have to look at the "fully covered" costumes for Halloween because you've lost enough weight and inches that you fit into the "Sexy..." whatever costumes!

...when you start to stalk plastic surgeon's websites for good before-and-after pictures of tummy surgery so you can visualize what YOURS will look like!

...when even your SHOES are getting too loose!

...when you don't mind being a little shorter because you've lost the fat pads on the bottom of your feet!

Let's keep 'em coming! :)

hahaha yes! I second the "sexy costume!"

Just had my first Halloween as a sexy bar maid and never felt more beautiful! Thank you lap band!

Also, you know you're a bandster when you have to budget in new clothing for you're 2010 finances! :)

You know your a bandster when you are really getting rid of the clothes you have outgrown rather than secertly hiding them so you will have something to wear when you regain that weight.

Love this one Ellen!

Adding my own this morning:

You know you are a bandster when the local tailor / alterations shop knows you by name because you keep coming in to have clothes re-measured before you get them altered - the weight loss just keeps coming!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
