I don't always stay up to date on the board, but am really missing the information. There are so many great success stories. I am now smaller than I have been since having my first child nine years ago. It is a great feeling; however, not having any summer clothes is not so great. Clothes are expensive.

I am down to my last 20 lbs (to reach my goal weight). I know this is great, but my weight loss has slowed. Since my last fill, I have lost weight, but am finding that I don't like to eat too much b/c I am not pain friendly. I have had some pretty bad sticking episodes.

I know I need to get in more excercise, but wanted to see if anyone had any other ideas. Is it possible to be too tight and not loose weight. I know I am not eating too much!

I think we need more information. Your food is sticking but you are not throwing up, right? Are you making sure you chew it up until it's liquid in your mouth?

Are you able to eat 3 meals per day?

To answer your question, yes, it's possible to be so tight that the weight loss stops.

My nutritionist once told me, "Your not eating enough!" I kissed her....every time I listened to her the weight loss started again. Go back to basics. No drink till 30 min after your meal, take 20 -30 min to eat a meal. You should be taking in 70 - 80 grams of Protein and the same amount in oz of Water. Try tracking your intake and see. You can add shakes to get the extra protein in. Sometimes it's just the water we forget to get in.... Good luck your doing a great job! Congrats

Thanks to all of you for the information... I am having a hard time with almost any meat, and until this last fill, bread was no problem. I have gone from being really careful, to really picky b/c of getting sick. I took two bites out of a small hamburger (home cooked) memorial day and was sick (throwing up) for an hour. I will closely watch my intake and re-evaluate my eating processes to see if I think I am too filled.

Jack, I have a cruise in two months and it is my goal to reach "my goal" before I step on that ship. I hope I can manage!

Sounds to me like you need to have a slight unfill. hamburger is usually bandster friendly. A lot of people have trouble with steak, or chicken breast, because they are dry meats.< /p>

I think so too... I am just really not eating very much b/4 some pain kicks in...

You certainly can be so tight that you won't lose weight. I know that happened to me early on. A small unfill can do the trick for you. I lost my last 10 pounds being completely unfilled! i didn't tolerate fills very well, so I had to stay loose most of the time. When I did get a fill I ended up having to have some or all of it taken out within a few weeks.

I would love to know how the Tummy Tuck goes. The thought scares me, but I am really going to need one!

The best place to find out about my surgery is through my blog. I will be updating it often. There is a link to it in my signature. I am a little nervous about the surgery but not too much. I have my half marathon to worry about instead!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
