jpuglisi 0 Posted June 2, 2008 Ok, I had another fill last week. I had originally had one a month ago and was too tight so had .75 removed from the original 1 cc that was put in. I was having minor heartburn. Had a gastric swallow and all is fine. I still felt like I could eat more than I should so went back last week and had .25 put back in. Now, starting to get very slight heartburn again. Also can only eat about 3 to 4 bites and start feeling full. I thought that was a good sign to be at the "sweet spot" but not sure with the heartburn. Anybody else have this issue? I have a 11 cc band and am at almost 9 cc's now. I feel if I take out the .25 then I will be at the same point again, feeling like I am eating more than I should. It's really hard to pinpoint the best place to be. For me anyway. short&chunky 0 Posted June 2, 2008 It's been a week since I had it done... I have had heart burn non stop. Is that normal? Will it ever go away?
jpuglisi 0 Posted June 2, 2008 From my understanding, heartburn means the band is too tight. If you are having it non-stop then it should be checked out. Especially if you start having reflux.
leilaann 0 Posted June 2, 2008 :smile2:I feel the same way. My doctor said it was from me eating to fast and swallowing with out chewing. So I tried slowing down and I noticed I was eating less and with no pain and less hunger! Ok, I had another fill last week. CellPhoneMan 0 Posted June 2, 2008 I was banded on April 28th. My surgeon kept me on Protonix (Acid reducer) right after surgery. I have no problem with reflux or heartburn. I know without the protonix I would suffer with heart burn and if you are experiencing a constant belching feeling my doctor told me the band is too tight.
