NSV Thread for the May Bandsters!

Recommended Posts

I'm not sure if this would be an NSV...it kind of bothered me when it happened. i went to pull my pants up at Wal-Mart and the next thing I knew, they were half-way up my back!! I no longer have that booty-butt blubber to keep them at bay. You know, that "wide gap" that goes on with the pant waistband...it's gone now!!

Today in church, sitting there with a dress on, no hose (yuke), I had my feet together on floor. During quiet prayer time, it dawned on me..."hey, my thighs are no longer the only thing touching...my calves actually touch along with them!!"

Another, I finally decided to buy a new pair of "hip" jeans...well, the 16misses were too big, the 14's fit just right!!!!

Had to go through my clothes for the SECOND time since surgery, getting rid of the ones that are too big.

A friend recently gave me a bunch of clothes that about 4 sizes smaller than when I started this process. HOORAY!

I went to see my therapist yesterday. The 1st thing she asked me was..."Does this hurt yet?" patting her own tailbone. I was delighted to tell her..."YES, esp sitting here on your (hard) sofa!" She then said, "that's why you see all us small ladies squirming in our chairs!"

oh another, went to (sorry) scratch my armpit...my hand went into this cavity...what the heck...never had one of those before in my armpit-LOL!!

Kiki- I feel your pain!!! I have gone from a 46DD, sometimes even a 44DDD to a 38D!! My poor boobies have deflated. I guess I knew that they never stood a chance, anytime I lose weight they are the first to go...I better start saving for some new ones!

I'm hanging in there, trying to KEEP off the pounds that I've lost. Been eating more over the past two weeks than before, so maybe time for another fill.

My husband drove my car this weekend and nearly crushed himself up against the steering wheel. He looked over at me and said, "Good grief. You've lost a lot of weight". He's 6'1" and I'm 5'3". I used to keep the seat as far back as he would sit just to accommodate my stomach. Now I'm up A LOT closer and he's just amazed.

Feels so good.

Now if the stinkin' scale would just budge!!

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
