3.1 miles today and i'm ready for this month to be over! since i started the month out pretty darn slow...i am very burnt on the treadmill from these last 2 weeks or so. i did more crosstraining before and now all i do is the treadmill, so pretty much i can't wait until july when i can make a new goal and then make more of an effort to stretch it out over the month.

my back is killing me...apparently from all the extra belly fat i am running with my back arched backwards. i can feel myself doing it but it almost feels normal...i've tried leaning forward and it feels like my belly is going to pull me over.

the good news is i cut my mile down even more this morning...back hurting and all...13:02! yay

You did great this month! I hope you are proud of yourself! My suggestion is to pick a challenge next month that allows you to do some of the cross training that you were talking about. When I started I did sessions. I would only count a session if it lasted longer than 30 minutes. That way I could vary my workouts to include weight lifting, running, eliptical, and walking.

Well I finished my challenge for the month and I will not be doing anything except limping around. My leg is still pretty sore and my foot is killing me. We went grocery shopping today and it was not a fun experience. Every muscle is sore. I have had so much Powerade zero today trying to rehydrate my body. When I stepped on the scale this morning I was down 3 pounds. I am not going to count it because it is mostly dehydration. That is another reason I am so sore. The heat yesterday was a KILLER. There was a big write up in the newspaper about how much the heat caused the athletes problems at the race yesterday. On top of the half marathon there was also the full marathon, a half Iron man triathlon and an endurance duathlon. SOme of these people didn't finish until 2 PM when the heat was in the upper 90s.

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
