Sweetmeat 0 Posted June 1, 2008 I was banded 02/18/08 weighing in @ 236. As on today I finally weighed in @ 190. I have had three fills so far. I'm hoping to be @175 or below by my wedding anniversary on 11/03. The only thing that is interesting is how the body responds to the band. I would like to hear from some of you as far as the shape the your body now. My complaint is "my muffin top" it is slowly going away though. Please chime in, would love to hear from you all....... CONTINUED SUCCESS TO EVERYONE WHO HAS DECIDED TO TAKE THE JOURNEY IN LAP BAND LAND.
jashley 0 Posted June 1, 2008 Way to go! That was a quick loss! I do a lot of "core strengthening" exercises (pilates type) to take care of the muffin top, but I think the main thing is time for your body to respond and react to the loss.

starryeyed 0 Posted June 2, 2008 Congrats on ONEderland! I am also hating the muffin. I keep thinking about plastic surgery but I think I will give it some time. Hopefully when we are both at our goal weights muffin top won't be an issue. starryeyed

aubrie 6 Posted June 3, 2008 You go girl. Congrats on the rapid weight loss!! I just made it to wonderland about two weeks ago. Boy it sure feels good. I'm a little puzzled about how I'm losing weight though, so I don't know if it will help. In times past, when I lost weight, I lost it in my tummy and my boobs first. Everywhere else was a fight. This time around with the band, I'm losing in my legs, my hips and butt and my arms. I've had some loss in my tummy and boobs. It's the darndest thing and I can't figure it out. Not that I'm complaining, it's just different for me. I'm losing in a more proportioned manner. I'm starting to think that the type of exercise I'm doing is responsible. I'm ONLY doing Water aerobics. Different kinds each time, but all in the Water. I have arthritis and don't have much of a choice. I'm sold on it.
