Has anyone from Dallas/plano/richardson used the clinic TrueResults? Or anyone used Dr. Barker in Garland?

My surgeon was Dr. Adam Smith in Fort Worth. I had my surgery at a True Results clinic in Hurst. The nurses were great and so was the anesthesiologist. All in all, it was a good experience.

I used Dr. Hamn in Plano. It has been a great experience and I would highly recommend him.

Good luck with your decision!

I went to a true results seminar in Dallas and then went for my consulation with them. I was not comfortable with the office. I am now going to Dr. Barker. His office just sent of my paperwork for insurance. I am hoping to have surgery this summer. I know several people who have had bypass surgery with Dr. Barker and were very happy with him. Good luck making a decision. I found it very difficult!

I saw someone else had surgery for $9,900 in our area.

BSC Dallas is on Greenville Rd, Presberterian Hospital, not to far from me. Im in Richardson TX. They have a special price right now of $10,950. Im looking into them right now. I like that hospital.

Still considering my options, no insurance.

If you are in Richardson, you have a great surgeon right there.....Dr. Richard Benavides. And the Surgery Center of Richardson is his aftercare clinic. He has done my surgery and that of a couple of friends of mine. I was referred to him specifically by my cardiolgist because of my health issues. But I've only heard very good things about Dr. Barker also.

I called True Results and the 888 # phone said they would do it, so I will call that office Monday and see if they will take me thru True Results who will do the fills. At least they told me they would. After all the turn downs, Im cautiously optimistic. Im told the Richardson office of True Results is affiated with this surgery center. Keep your fingers crossed for me.

I have no health issues at this time, just needing a fill, hopefully True Results will do it.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
