thughes113 0 Posted May 29, 2008 Feeling a little discouraged. I've had all the hospital work done, psych work, dietician visits and my surgery is not yet scheduled. My doctor said from the initial seminar to the surgery would be six weeks. So far, more like 12. I'm trying not to get mad about it and lash out at the doctor or his staff, but I'm really frustrated. Plus, I have bills coming in for something I haven't even had done yet! And, a question...those of you who have done or are considering lap-band...do you wish you had chosen bypass instead? I'm wondering if I should do the bypass instead. Well, I look forward to speaking with all of you along this journey. :wink2:
gilliebean 1 Posted May 29, 2008 if you haven't decided which surgery you really want then don't stress about you not having a date yet this is not something you want to rush into its a life changing forever surgery.
JRT Mom 919 Posted May 29, 2008 Wow, I could have written your post myself because I am in the exact same boat as you. Add to the frustration: the company I work for is in the process of getting sold, and I'm scared to death that if we get bought out before I get the surgery the new company won't cover it on their insurance! The office knows this and STILL I don't have a date....SIGH.....:wink2: Oh well, we'll hang in there together, OK?
DebNH 1 Posted May 29, 2008 Sometimes God works in mysterious ways. Perhaps this extra time is needed for you to reflect upon your new way of life... or another option rather than surgery. :wink2: Deb
