Phychologists in Raleigh NC

Recommended Posts

I am using Dr. Enoch's and am NOT at all impressed with the main psychologists his office gave me to use. They only gave me three to pick from and two I can't get to call me back and the other has a HORRID office staff.

Anyway, does anyone know of a psych. doctor around the Raleigh, Garner, Johnston Co. area that works with lapband patients?

Hey Mellisa

I assume you got the handbook from Dr. Enoch's office. I was not thrilled with the choices at all. But, when I finally did get a call back from the office in Wake Forest, her name was Lisa from Innovative Theraphy and she has had the lap band herself. She gave me the number of the scheduler (why that number is not in the book to begin with was a mystery to me). I have a June 4th with her associate Wendy and her sister has had the lap band. Lisa told me over the phone that she would bump my appt up if i have all my other appts and the physc is the last one. But my last appt is the bloodwork at Rex on June 17. Let me know if you want the scheduler's number to the Wake Forest office.

The other office was in the process of moving and I could not get seen until the end of June.

Hi all!

The one psychologist to go to as recommended by Dr. Enochs is Tammi Moore. She is starting to see patients in the office now directly. I saw her and she is FABULOUS!! I highly recommend her. If you call the office, ask how to get scheduled I guess. Best wishes!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
