I'm 5 weeks post-op, no fill, but I have some restriction (though I'm obviously not as restricted as others.) I can barely eat the 3-4 oz Protein and 1/2 cup veggies my doc's office recommends at one sitting and yet I think I eat WAY more than most who post menus here.

I track my calories and most days I have to work to get up to 1,000 calories. (I was at a weight loss standstill at 800 calories, so I've made efforts to increase calories and started losing again.)

Today--

B: 3/4 cup Kashi Cereal, 1/4 cup strawberries, small amount of milk.

S: 16 oz nonfat latte to get in milk.

L: 3.5 oz chicken thigh, 1/2 cup roasted cauliflower

D: 3/4 cup Silverado Chili, 1 Tbsp light sour cream

S: Kashi crackers, laughing cow cheese, 1/2 cup grapes.

Total--933 Calories

Most days I have cereal for Breakfast with a little fruit, a latte (12 oz milk), 1/2 cup LF yogurt with some fruit, then lunch and dinner are as close to 3-4 oz meat and 1/2 cup veggies as I can eat comfortably.

Breakfast: 4 oz snack cup of cottage cheese or high Protein oatmeal or 2 scrambled eggs. 3 grapefruit sections or 3 strawberries. 2 cups coffee with vanilla slim fast in it.

Lunch: 3 oz of tuna, or a left over chicken leg, steamed veggie from the night before (ie: squash, asparagus, green Beans, broccoli, brussel sprouts, grilled eggplant, avocado) and some fresh fruit (berries, peach, apricot, plum, apple) I try to mix it up daily so I don't get bored. Occasionally I'll have chicken salad with a few low fat trisquits.

Dinner: Whatever the family is having. All kinds of fish and shellfish, steak, grilled pork chops, baked chicken, (dark meat only....white breast meat gets me stuck) etc. about 3-4 oz. A fresh steamed vegetable about 1/3 cup, or a small salad. About 3 times a week I add a carb. Sweet potato, brown rice or wild rice, corn on the cob, cornbread dressing, multigrain Pasta. About 1/4 cup.

bedtime: 1/2 cup of skim or soy milk or a small serving of fruit.

If I'm tight, just filled, or not feeling well I stick to the oatmeal. Avocado and applesauce or slim fast for lunch and cream Soup for dinner with unflavored Protein powder.

I've had 2 fills and am 6 months out. I've always eaten very healthy, but ate to much and added sweets, beer and bad carbs. Lethal combination. I can turn it down with little trouble now. My only trigger????? CHIPS!!! God I crave crunchy......

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
