Hi everyine, I have been away for a few months. I was banded on 03/06/07. I have had several fills, a total of 3.0 cc's. My doctor gives 2 to 4 cc's at at time. My last fill was first week of April. I am having a difficult time this last week keeping several different foods down. I started at 272 and I am down to 219. I am able to drink plenty of liquids. Is this normal what i am going through. do you think it is just a poor choice in foods. I take a bite of something and i actually wait about 15 to 20 minutes before i take another. I have not lost anything since my last fill, I have actually gained 2 lbs. I beleive I get tire of throwing up so I eat something soft that goes down easily. Just looking fo some great advice. Thanks!!

I have not had any fills yet - because I am fearful of this happening (and lots of other things).

But when I do, I would have to say, I would call right away for an unfill if I could not eat without getting sick. Is this how other fills worked for you? You have done so well losing weight in the past - I am guessing that you were able to eat and lose the weight.

Please call and have the doctor remove some Fluid so you can eat more normally. You will feel better and probably be able to lose weight again. Your body won't be in starvation mode.

I hope you feel better.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
