I haven’t been doing to good since my fill on Saturday 04/16. I have had a lot of PB and throwing up this week the only times I don’t is when I eat Soup. I can drink with no problem (when I drink a slim fast because it’s thicker I could here it gurgle when it goes down), its just when I try solids that I PB really bad (lasting an hour at times) and I want to make sure that my stoma is not just swollen and that I am actually tight so I am going to try my best not to get an un-fill.

I will be going on liquids for 3-4 days or until I can see if I really need a un-fill. Can anyone recommend and good Protein Drink and also tell me where you bought them!!

I am going to do a Protein Drink for Breakfast and one for lunch and a small meal.

Good Idea for you to go slow on your recent fill.

I myself do a mixture of milk and 100% whey 23 grams of Protein but I am thinking of adding already made to my grocery list since I hate to take the time to mix it..

What is exactly on Solids are you eating that are causing you to PB??

Hope you do not have to be unfilled just hang in there and see if you loosen up a bit.

This is exactly what I would do (and did)! I may even go a little longer - possibly a week... then again, Im not sure if I can actually last on liquids for a week. Thats hard.

I like the slim fast lo-carb protien shakes, also the Atkins brand shakes. Both are easy to find: Walmart, grocery stores.

Good luck, and keep us updated on your recovery.

wait!!!!!! I just re -read your post. You said a small meal for supper?!? NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! please dont. Try just liquids for a couple of days, then ease into mushies (pudding, think soups) for 2 more days. Trust me, this could determine the end result of getting an unfill!

I was so worried about not lossing in the beggining of my fill because I could'nt eat but I am doing really good and I also have restriction.

I am afraid to get another fill though because the first week was so hard!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
