willsmommy 2 Posted May 26, 2008 I was wondering if anyone is able to take difflican after Lapband? It is a holiday, and I know it would be near impossible to get in contact with my doctors office. Thanks!!
Lynn43 0 Posted May 26, 2008 Thanks to all of the antibiotics that they pumped into me...I had the same problem. My doctor called me in diflucan and I was fine. You might want to call your pharmacist just to double check to make sure it's ok. Feel better soon!!
JustinsMama 1 Posted May 26, 2008 I had one about a week or so after surgery, so I take it this is common?
RxTracy 0 Posted May 26, 2008 Willsmommy- I am a Pharmacist and Diflucan comes as a liquid formulation as well. Your doctor can call in the strength he wants and just indicate that he wants that and they can fill if for you. If for some reason they don't stock it, there is no reason you can't crush a Diflucan tablet and take it that way. It may taste bad but it would be worth it. Yeast infections are so miserable. My mother-in-law had no trouble with tablets after her surgery, but even months after I couldn't take an over the counter Ibuprofen without getting stuck. Good luck.
