busdrivinmom 0 Posted May 26, 2008 I had the same problem and dehydration has a big part of all this however remember your body is craving some of the things you have now eliminated.. and change is good
dosnyc 0 Posted May 26, 2008 Thank you I will concentrate more on the liquids
jbflorida 1 Posted May 26, 2008 dosnyc--had the same experience. chicken broth will help--I am assuming there is SOME Protein in there. Also had lite apple juice and the little bit of sugar helped. I called the doc on day 10 with the same problems--he put me on full liquids 3 days early. Tonight I had broccoli-cheese Soup (pureed) and OMG! I don't think I've ever tasted anything so good! Hang in there--so worth it.
dosnyc 0 Posted May 26, 2008 Thanks After going through this believe me I will stick it out. I spoke with my Nurse and she indictaed I wasn't getting enough Protein. Which i acknowledge. So today is a new day and more protein. Thanks for the support this site helps

juliegeraci 7 Posted May 27, 2008 You can eat anything that fits through a straw. I would move to a creamy Soup. You have to make it with milk so it will give you some extra Protein.< /p>

busdrivinmom 0 Posted June 1, 2008 Hello and hope all is well. I like the straw thought as well. Never thought of it like that. I had a fill 3 days ago and have been having way to many problems, seems everything is getting stuck. Sure hope you have gained energy and strength since your surgery, and you are feeling more like yourself by now
savimama 0 Posted June 1, 2008 I am on day 4 after being banded- I had the problem of drinking too much at once and was gulping like I did before the band and then got nauseous. i am still gassy after having any liquid like pudding and the incisions are sore but I guess this is typical. I am happy I did it and already see and feel the results. no more swollen ankles and my feet dont hurt
