I'm still here 0 Posted May 25, 2008 Sorry in advance - this is pretty gross, and I am sure I have a problem. I went in for a tiny fill last Tuesday and immediately could tell that it was too tight, but I hoped that it would loosen up a bit. Big dummy. It is now Saturday almost midnight and I am unable to swallow liquids and when I try, I start foaming at the mouth / throat like an animal. Not liking this part . . . I have lost 6 pounds, but I am most certain I am getting dehydrated, so no actual loss. So - I will be there first thing Tuesday morning to get a slight unfill; I'm just curious if anyone else has had the 'foamy problem' and wouldn't mind sharing . . . . Thanks, Lynn

Thanks, Lynn Can't you call your doc and get an emergency unfill...because yes... this is an emergency. I have been too tight before, but not like that. His office should have a answering service that will page your doc. I hope you are alright. And no 6 pounds is not a good loss when it is caused from severe dehydration. I honestly think that 2 days is too long to wait. If you can't get to the doc go to the emergency room and at least get an IV.
Debralee80 0 Posted May 25, 2008 I had the same problem. I left my Dr office after a 1cc fill. It takes me 2 hours to get home. Half way home, I started burping up foamy saliva, lots of it. I called the Dr, and he had me return immediately, and he took .5cc out. I am still having problems keeping fluids down, and have lost about 10 pounds in 4 days. He is out of town for the long weekend, but I think I need to have some more removed. I was hoping it was just irritated and swollen. If you can't keep saliva down, I would be concerned about getting dehydrated
I'm still here 0 Posted May 25, 2008 The crazy thing is that I have been banded for almost 18 months and have had more fills than I can remember, and have never had this problem . . . I have been thoroughly disgusted by this little event. It is significantly better today, and for that reason I am going to try to wait to call my doctor until Tuesday. I have been able to drink some tea today and think if I can get some liquids down, then I will be okay until then.
