stomach bug advice

I woke up this morning feeling sick to stomach with the runs. Heaved a couple of times and nothing came out. I am in bed and nausea comes and goes.. but I havent had anything to eat but crystal light. Any ideas.. I am holding off on the prescription nausea meds for some reason b/c I am hoping this will go away and it makes you kind of out of it. At what pt should I call my doctor and which doctor? surgeon or pcp? What if anything can I eat/drink to feel better? or should I have nothing at all?

Karen, are you feeling better now? I hope so. I just saw this.

Generally when I'm feeling nauseous I like chicken broth, saltine crackers, and tea. I put aside bandster guidelines when I am sick to my stomach -- my goal is to get over whatever bug I have and then go back to eating by my normal guidelines. So liquid calories are something I generally do have when I'm sick -- Soup, juice, whatever it takes to get back on my feet without making things worse.

I am new to the idea of the lapband and haven't had my first consultation yet (tomorrow!). I was thinking about it last night since I have a child and how children carry diesease (:cool2:) what if I get the stomach flu? Won't the vomiting make my band slip?:thumbup:
