MsJai28 0 Posted September 5, 2008 It has been a couple of months since I've logged in and I am doing MUCH better!!! I have been working with a personal trainer and have been slowly losing weight, but most importantly, toning up!! I am so happy I removed the band!! SpecialK 22 Posted September 5, 2008 I really want my band removed. I have had it for a year and my hair is very thin and falling still everyday. My doctor recommende d 1000 mg of Biotin. It's still falling. I have had my food stuck and hospitalized . I have always had thick beautiful hair and I am losing a lot. I need help desperately. Iknow that if I had the band removed I could get all of my nutrition . I want to know does the stomach return to its natural shape? I need help and I am very desperate for my hair and thickness. My hair stylist and multiple people told me that Biotin - 2000 mcg/day is very helpful and I'm taking it now faithfully. Do your own research to see if you think its right for you. I found a good brand at CVS/Walgreens but I am betting you can find it lots of places. Since I started taking it, I have beautiful long nails!

amywin12 0 Posted February 8, 2009 I was reading about your situation and it sounds similar to mine. I hit my 4 year mark with the band this month. Things were going well for the first 3 yrs. I would sometimes throw up, but not often. I got to the point where I was throwing up almost daily, and sometimes even just Water. I have been back and forth with fill amounts and am now unfilled. After an upper GI and an unfill, the Dr said I have to have my band removed, but replacement is a possibility. I don't know what to do. I've lost about 100lbs total. I am so scared of life without the band, but I don't want this to happen every 4 yrs. Any information would be so helpful! I have a big choice to make, and I'm not sure what is the right one! mlonginotti 0 Posted February 21, 2009 When they say it is mental, it doesn't mean that you are crazy. It sounds like you may be having panic attacks. These can come on all of a sudden, with no warning. My grandmother was 69 years old when she had her first panic attack, they kept saying it is all in your head. Eventually the attacks passed, but it took about a year. It is just the way some of our brains work. Have you tried anti depressants or anti anxiety meds? I hate to see that the band may not be giving its full effect because there may be other problems. Just a thought, Erika
