I've been taking childrens chewables too since there are NO adult ones here that I can find, however, having been diagnosed with rectal cancer recently and reading up on the importance of antioxidants and selenium, I realise that the children's Vitamin completely misses out some trace nutrients that most adult ones have, selenium being the primary one.

I've decided to stop being a big baby and just take the big adult pill. I dont get stuck on them, I just hate taking pills and gag and carry on like a wimp.

Adults need adult Vitamins I think.

I work in a Dental office ...fyi never ok to put neosporin on your lips. Carmex is good for re hydrating them . Alot of pts at the end of summer get dry peely lips or in the winter.

I agree with Jacqui; we need adult Vitamins, preferably bariatric ones designed for bandsters.

(Jacqui, I hope you're feeling as well as can be expected; you are often in my thoughts and prayers.)

Have you looked at a whole foods store for some liquid vitamins. I saw them just the other day but didn't get any because the bottle was about a quart size and the price was like $40.00 I thought that was a lot of money to spend not knowing if I'd like them or not.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
