gone 4 ever 6 Posted May 20, 2008 Clear liquids only or what. Has anyone else had this obsession right after being banded or is it just me? Thanks:confused:
newimage 2 Posted May 20, 2008 Hang in there gone 4 ever. You can do this. Keep up the good work. Yes, it was hard but it is well worth the efforts. Good Luck!!!
Operagal 0 Posted May 20, 2008 Absolutely. But screwing up feels - and is - much much worse - I know. Keep on track and don't lose sight of your reasons for doing this. You can find your strength. It's there.
leoyne 0 Posted May 21, 2008 It gets a whole lot better. Trust me!! During the first two weeks after my surgery I was thinking about food all of the time. This was before I could start eating pureed food. I was reading cookbooks like the newspaper. But then those feelings went away just like that. They come and go at times. But don't give in to them. The benefits are so much better. My 25lb loss in the 1st 4 weeks was great!!!!!!!!!!!!! hang in there!

Laurinda 1 Posted May 22, 2008 No Bandster yet has died from a little hunger, although lots of us weren't so sure in the beginning. Courage! AMEN the head hunger can be a witch! But with time your not even thinking about food < really>:crying:
*susan* 1,709 Posted May 25, 2008 The Protein Shakes should help. It is tough, because you just get to the point where you want to chew something. But, you can get through this, it will be worth it to make sure your band heals properly.
BayCityBandster 1 Posted May 29, 2008 i am right there with you -- banded on may 23 and want to eat, but will not cave. i am determined to beat this addiction. i wish you luck.
bandfan1 0 Posted May 30, 2008 I once upon a time regarded 'eating' as a salvation to my turmoils and a balm to my tortured psyche. In reality, eating ALWAYS became overeating, in the same way substance abuse consumes our souls. I hope you can find the strength to follow your program and attain your goals. No Bandster yet has died from a little hunger, although lots of us weren't so sure in the beginning. Courage! well put, Jack!!!

hcisneros 0 Posted July 6, 2008 actually I have been told by the nutritionist that this is very common your band is not that small right now so its normal for us to be hungry once you start soft foods you will feel better also keep reminding yourself you have not given up food you will be eating everything you want withing a few weeks, sometimes we have to change our thinking on food so we dont feel deprived and then agitated> once you get to soft foods you will feel more satisfied hope this helps heidi
klutzyazhel 0 Posted February 24, 2009 No you are not! I had my second fill today and I'd kill for REAL food..I have to have liquids for 2 days and then mushies for 3-7 days..But even on the days I can eat, If I am bored(I am a stay at home mom, caring for my disabled 21 year old son) I am on the rampage looking to eat..Usually right choices but some days are harder than others too..
