Thanks for all the well wishes but Son of a BLANK! It was fun while it lasted but today I'm back up to 306.6. This is soooooooo slow that I'm dying here!

I'm going to start low carbing tomorrow though, so that should help. Low carbing is the only thing that's ever made me lose weight. *sigh*

Oh well, at least I haven't given up completely!

My weight does that too, but when it goes up I don't count it...I just wait for it to go down again.

Me too. And it really pisses me off too. Even on my bad days I'm at about half of what I should be eating to lose 2 pounds a week at a completely inactive activity level. And I excercise almost daily - maybe not a lot but I burn usually 150-400 calories. Whaaaaaahhhh! Okay, whine sequence completed, moving on to productive/happy day cycle.

Don't worry Gibson, I think that happens to many of us. It's most likely just some Water retention. Give it a few days and I'm sure it will fall right back off.

Because that's what I was doing this morning! I finally, FINALLY, after several years have gotten below the THREE HUNDRED MARK!!!!! WOO HOO!!!!! Who ever dreamed I'd be ecstatic to see 298.8 on my scale?

Hopefully this will serve as a mental breakthrough to help me focus. LIFE IS GOOD!!!!

YIPPEEEEEEEEE!!! yeah for you!! You must be so proud. I thought that you were dancing a jig because school was out, but this is better. I am worried about putting on weight when I am home all day. School was much safer. Lord knows I would never eat the food there!

Good Job!!:):)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
