gerry 0 Posted May 29, 2008 I, too, paid out of pocket. June of 07, yes 1 year now. Mine was all inclusive at $7,000. Interested in knowing who did the surgery and where he is. It sounds like you are very satisfied. Thanks for any input you might have.
lessofme 1 Posted May 29, 2008 My BMI was low as well, but I had high BP, backaches, high cholesterol and other problems, so easy to OK my surgery. Didn't even try to go through my insurance, too much red tape. Cost was $13,600 which includes all visits and fills for a year (Salt Lake City, UT). I've lost 48 lbs. in about a year, but only 9 more to go. Very slow for me but I've carried this weight around for 30 years now, and enough was enough! amelia65 0 Posted June 3, 2008 I had a BMI of 33 and paid $15,000 totally out of pocket. The results have been a little slower than I had hoped, but hopefully it will be worth it. My main concern is keeping the weight off after I lose it. I was tired of starting over. I say take out a loan and do it.
