Love Contact Jill at the TLBC and ask her to review what you have been eating over the last few days. You may be eating too little. I think you would be on mushies and Jill may be able to help you make special shakes, etc. Also, check your blood sugar. If you are faint you could be low in your count. If you are on diabetic drugs, go to your doctor he/she may reduce the amount of medications. They too can cause faintness when you are eating so little. Hope this helps.

Went for a fill today because I was getting too loose. I am expecially proud of myself because I did not wait too long before having one and binging in the meantime!

I got 1/2 cc for a total of 7 right now. It is amazing how much difference 1 1/2 cc makes!

Hi there, Susan. You are doing so well. It is amazing how differently the different bands work. I could never get 1 1/2 cc at a time with my Inamed band. My fills are .1 to .15 cc. Anything more and I'm hurling.

Anyhow, you are back on track and going strong- congratulations, shayna punim!

I finally went in for my first fill yesterday. It was a breeze & fast. It did not hurt at all. I could feel something I could not identify, but not a pain or prick. I had a bit of a short twinge about 10 minutes later.

Between their pre-op scale & their fill room scale, I lost 9.7lbs.

On my scale I lost almost 17lbs. I think the pre-op scale is out 7 lbs. It was the day of my surgery.

Hi Love;

I was at TLBC on Monday too for my first fill and the seminar, Stephanie was awesome!

The fill room scale was the same as my home scale, so that made me happy

Stephanie was great. She was my surgery nurse too. I had a chance to thank her for making me feel so comfortable.

Did you find the pre-op scale off too?

Where were you sitting in the presentation room? Beside me?

What did you think of Jody's delivery? Inspirational...not!

I did show a loss since surgery, so i am happy. I was sitting in the back row beside a couple.

Jody's delivery was sorta interesting. I did discover that I should not be drinking my Breakfast..lol

I am scheduled for my second fill Aug 26 but I have quite a bit of restriction now (i did before first fill too) We shall see what the next 2 weeks bring...

I just thought I'd put myself out there. I have attended on 2 consults at TLBC, attending pre-op seminar on Tuesday, booked for the 18th of September for surgery. My emotions are all over as it's all so overwhelming. There's times I feel I won't be able to do it, but then, a walk up the stairs or time just being on my feet lets me know I'm doing the right thing. The aches, the pains, the huffing and puffing...my husband is now sleeping on the couch as my snoring is so bad...this has to work.

Any feedback, pointers, advise, inspiration will be really, REALLY appreciated.

:thumbup:Bella: Most of us that have posted have gone thru the gauntlet of emotions. All the way from excitement to fear of the unknown. One of the fears I had was not being able to eat my favorite foods ever agan. No worries, I eat them just less. Strange, but as time has gone on, I no long crave fatty foods. My biggest hurdle has been controlling my chewing. So I have kept a loose fill to allow the unchewed chunks to pass thru the band. Right up until you get on the OR table, you will be having thoughts. All I can say is remember why you are doing this and you will wake up wondering what all the fuss was about. Keep posting, love to hear how you are doing.

Hi Bella,

Your post sounds as if I could have written it.

Nerves are normal - but the best attitude you can have is excitement!

This was the best thing I have ever done for myself. I have lost almost 85 pounds and feel wonderful.

Congratulations on your choice!

I was on the other side of the couple & I drink my lunch during the week.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
