What size are you now??? I might be buying shoes from you!! I lost a 1/2 size after the first 40 pounds left me. I think my feet are as small as they will get now even when I lose more. I am only 30 pounds from goal. I wear an 8 now.

I've lost half a shoe size so far...I never had any problems with my shoes before, but one thing I notice is that I can squat on my hindquarters for a long time (like when picking stuff up off the floor)- where before it cut off my circulation and made me want to pass out!

oooo, I hope I can wear cute shoes someday! My heels hurt so bad all the time that all I can wear are Merrells, Wolkies, etc. They are great shoes but not all that stylish and they cost me a fortune. I really am hoping my feet will feel better. That would be such a plus!

I always hated shoes as I have heel spurs and never felt like I was dressed up especially for work. My shoe collection consisted of entirely flat shoes or runners and I usually wore only one or two of the same pairs to work.

After my loss, I have also lost 1/2 shoe size! Go figure! I also bought my first pair of heels the other day and not one ounce of pain in my feet even after wearing them to work 2 days in a row. People said I looked different, perhaps I was walking taller or more confident, I don't know, but I will be looking for more fashionable shoes in the future. I just have to lose a bit more around cankles (where the calf meets the ankle!)and my shins to look glam in a pair of stilletos!

I have feet as wide as flippers, lol, so any sexy shoe must also be closed or have a wide band across the foot. Strappy sandals look pretty ornery on my feet, my toes all squish out the gaps.

Peek, I've had heelspurs too - on the backs of my heels rather than the bottom. Miserable. .

I love my birkenstocks. I found two pairs, new and still in the box, at a good will for 2 dollars a pair. I looked them up on line and they were 112 and 124 dollars. This was a couple of years ago.

Oh I am a shoe-aholic! he-he. I have always been able to wear heels (but never more than 3 inches). I was banded the 19th and even losing about 10 pounds (all Water weight, I know) - my feet are looking slender. I can see the veins in them, lol. AND I don't have the "muffin top" I had in all of my pumps, you know that fat that bubbles over near the opening of the shoe. I am looking forward to a night out on the town in a cute pair of 4-inch stilettos! :P

I put on my sandals from last year, and whoa baby they did not fit. My lovely pump feet from last year stretched them out. Now that I have my narrow feet back; my toes are hanging out over the top rim or my heal is not fitting into the back. I quicky donated my oh-so-lovely-but-hey-its-not-fault-it-they-don't-fit-me-any-more-shoes to the Sallyann. Then it was off to the mall for a pedicure and new sandals. I love getting thin there are so many benefits.

I just want the cankles to go away. I used to have sexy feet. I want them back so bad.

I lost a half size and no longer wear a wide width in shoes...still have some pretty large puppies though...size 9. LOL!

I can wear stilettos now!!!! I'm thrilled! I always wore a chunky wedge before but can actually balance in stilettos now and not look like a fool when I walk in them. I assume its the weight loss as nothing else had really changes. Maybe my posture improved with my weight loss?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Am feeling this right now. My surgery date is 4/1. Sign the consent tomorrow. I feel like I overloaded myself with too much info, too many opinions. Got to the point where I was wondering if I should do this. Then I thought of my reasons for taking this step and that settled my nerves. Still get moments of doubt but am striving forward. Am just going to follow my book from the surgeon. Joined this because I was told by my dietician that I should do this for support
