2 weeks post op my doctor cleared me to do abs. i was surprised....he told me to hold off weight training a little longer.

i was cleared to spin and do classes at the 2 week mark as well.

exercise has been key to speed weight loss for me....great that you are getting off to a good start

good luck

Yup. My doc cleared me to do full weight training workouts when I saw him for my 1st fill (about 6 weeks post op).

I was told to wait 2 months and I think that was wise. My port sight was pretty sore until then and I wanted to make sure everything was healed. But ask your doctor, doctor is the same.

I was also told 2 months, and had a hietal hernia repaired so I guess that was why.

But let me tell you, I have been going to pilates once a week since mid March and do they work!!!!!

Between my weight loss and the pilates, I am down 5 inches in my waist and its tightening up. Wild, I actually am starting to see some slight definition there.

I do Water aerobics. I've started using the foam dumb bells in the pool. OMG do they work for the abs as well as the arms. My surgeon was shocked last Friday by the muscle tone on my abs and arms from it. The deep water aerobics has really burned up the calories as well. I do my routine without a floatation belt, which doubles the workout, and I'm really seeing the results. As I lose fat and acquire more muscle though, it's getting harder and harder to stay afloat. I'm losing my bouyancy with every pound I lose.
