Cerrin 3 Posted May 12, 2008 I went to the Water park this weekend and to exit the park you have to walk up a very big hill. Every year before I have had to stop at all the benches to catch my breath. This weekend I walked up the hill and bypassed all the benches. I didn’t even have to stop once I was not out of breath. It was amazing. This is the first time I noticed a difference in my level of fitness. I have to say it felt so great.:biggrin2: I had this goofy smile on my face for the rest of the weekend.:biggrin2:

ReadySteadyGo 8 Posted May 13, 2008 Well you, in general, rock Cerrin. I started the oliptical because of you- Did you know that. I can still only do 8.5 minutes, but I used to be able to barely do three so I'm improving.
tapshoes 2 Posted May 13, 2008 What a great NSV Cerrin! Congratulations.
Cerrin 3 Posted May 13, 2008 Thanks guys! it really means a lot to hear that. And 8.5 is not bad We all start somewhere. I didnt start off doing the Elliptical for 60 minutes. ButI worked up to it. And now I am so glad I stuck with it. But I do still play the mind games with myself. When I dont really want to go to the gym I will tell myself I will JUST do 2 miles. Then when I hit the 2 mile mark I am kinda like Oh I will do one more I will just go slower. Then I hit 3 and tell myself well I did 3 I can do the last mile slow. But then I look at the time and am like If I kick it up I will still be done in 60 minutes. LOL it works for my brain. I am really wanting to do a marathon like losingjustme did. I was so impressed with her for doing the Minnie Marathon I want to do one now too.
aubrie 6 Posted May 13, 2008 I went on a business trip with two slim, fit, 30 year olds. They wanted to see everything!! So did I, but hadn't considered having to walk. I thought, "oh no....this is going to be really bad, I'm going to slow them down." Well guess what? We walked about 4 and a half miles and I never got winded!!! I didn't stop for any breaks. I just had a ball. I know how you feel Cerrin. It's the best feeling in the world. Such an improvement in my quality of life!!! Congrats....
Cerrin 3 Posted May 13, 2008 Yea! Aubrie that is great! it is just so odd for my mind to be NOT thinking about how BAD I am going to feel if I do something like that. NOW I dont think about it as much. I think about the fun I am having and not about IF I am going to be able to keep up. It is such an amazing feeling. I never really thought I would experience it.
