I don't think it is specific to lapband (I actually just got it and haven't really looked at it yet), but there's bound to be some good Protein high/carb low recipes!

Best of luck to you,

Rainer

I really like that one, but here's another one, Eating Well After Weightloss Surgery by Patt Levine and Michele Bontempo-Saray

Before and After by Susan Maria Leach is an autobiography as well as a cookbook. Very informative.

I did a lot of research for surgery.

I don't really eat something special due to being banded, I eat smaller portions, and I know of some foods that I can't handle personally.

But I like www.allrecipes.com , I can search by ingredients, and even put in ingredients I DON'T want. It has ratings & user reviews, pictures, and for servings, you can put in the servings you want and it automatically adjusts the recipe for you.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
