Are you lacking iron?

I have been feeling real tired,had lap band sep 2007, got tested am extremely low in Iron, anyone else have this problem, i am not really eating much meat, but have a Vitamin tablet daily,eat nuts, legumes, fish, eggs, cheese, chicken etc.

I tend to be anemic so I just take one Slow FE tab every morning. It keeps my Iron levels in line.

I've been supplementing with a bowl of Total Cereal a couple times a week as it has 100% Iron.

I also have slowFE tablets on hand.

But I asked my doc a couple weeks ago when I went in for my physical if he'd check my Iron levels because I thought they were low. They were normal. So I haven't been taking the slowFE.

They put me on slow fe and gave me vitaminb injection to increase the Iron levels,and also going to get iron infusion done, doctor said he thought was common to be low in iron if lapbanded,i had never read anywhere anything about iron before.

I tend to have low Iron anyway, so am already on a Multi-Vitamin with iron daily. Hopefully, that will be enough after surgery.

I take liquid Floradix Iron every day. I've tested low on iron after banding. Never had an issue before. I am a regular blood donor so I have to take the supplement or I can't donate.

I tend to be low in Iron too, before banding even. I take an iron supplement.

I tend only to go to toilet every 3 or 4 days now, so am using prunes daily,but doctor said the Iron may constipate me, anyone having these problems?
