Mom2_4 0 Posted July 13, 2008 No shoes or socks for us either. They sell covers for the top of it to guard against dirty feet.
cosmo24 0 Posted July 13, 2008 I do not use shoes or socks. It might have something to do with when you weigh in you don't want the extra weight at least for me. I need all the help I can get. Might want to wear shoes if you do the running exercise. I found that helps me. Good Luck and have Fun! Annie
Teachlady 3 Posted July 14, 2008 No shoes for us either. I don't wear socks, but hubby does. I ordered the cover for it from Walmart. You can use shoes for the running, since you are not on the actual board for that.
TulipStar 2 Posted July 14, 2008 I don't wear shoes or socks either. Barefoot seems the best way to go. I tried socks, but it was too slippery.
georgia girl 35 Posted July 14, 2008 We just got a Wii this past weekend. It came with the Wii sports and we've been playing them all weekend. Where did all of you get the Wii Fit part of it? Did ya'll order online or buy it from a store? Walmart doesn't have them, here where I live. I got a pretty good workout in my arms and legs from doing the Wii Sports (tennis, baseball, and bowling). I think we are going to try the boxing out tonight. I suspect that will be a pretty good workout.
Turler 6 Posted July 14, 2008 GG- The hunt for the Wii Fit was just as challenging as buying the Wii itself! I found mine at Best Buy on accident! Watch for ads in the paper...the store advertising will have some stock. You gotta just keep checking. Look everywhere!! Good luck! ~C
georgia girl 35 Posted July 14, 2008 Thank you Turler! I will keep checking. It's probably going to be a few weeks before we can buy it anyway because we need to save up some more money first. The Wii itself was pretty pricey....
NukeChik 1 Posted July 14, 2008 Georgia, I bought mine off ebay. I actually found it for a great buy it now price and jumped on it. When I got my Wii, I had spent weeks looking for it and eventually sucked it up and bought it off ebay also. I looked at the 30 bucks extra that I paid on ebay to be a "convenience" fee, I didn't have to spend all my time looking for it and even more importantly a tank for of gas! The boxing is an AWESOME workout. I have found it to be the best by far for me and the most fun!
georgia girl 35 Posted July 14, 2008 Thanks NukeChik! I will check out ebay too and see what my best option will be. I'm excited to do the boxing. The tennis one worked my right arm to death, lol. I think boxing will be an even better workout since I'll be using both arms.
Turler 6 Posted July 14, 2008 I've never tried the boxing. I must be missing out! I guess the title didn't appeal to me, but I think I'll give it a shot! LOL ~C
grammylew 0 Posted July 15, 2008 If I'm gonna be on it for 30 min I wear my shoes. My good work out tennies. Otherwise my feet hurt. I don't it slippery at all. Our grandsons use it barefoot. But they are younger and lighter than me and have better feet!
AMYLD13 0 Posted July 15, 2008 I love my Wii Fit!!! I play everyday. I actually get sore from some of the strength training moves. The kids love it also, they don't even realize they are doing something good for them.
Northwest_Nance 0 Posted July 17, 2008 Majesco And Interactive Game Group Announce ‘Jillian Michaels’ Fitness Ultimatum 2009’ - Wii News Jillian Michaels, trainer on 'The Biggest Loser' is working on a Wiifit game. Its suppose to be more challenging than the games that come with the WiiFit board. I will definitely buy it if it comes out. I love my WiiFit too, and I've been wondering if they would come out with an advanced set of games/workouts.... it seems like that's a built-in sales opportunity, because eventually the workout on the current version won't be challenging. Nice to know they're working on that!
