Oregondaisy 2,021 Posted May 9, 2009 You need to drink low sodium broth. It is so much better. I always check for low sodium ones because if I get regular, they are way too salty for me. If You have a GNC, you can get unflavored whey Protein Powder and mix it in crystal light or sf lemonaide, or anything sugar free that you like.

HappyHomeCC 2 Posted May 9, 2009 How about Miso Soups for a flavor change in liquid? If it has little bits of tofu and seaweed just advoid those parts. I thought of it when I saw wonton Soup.< /p>
FarmGirl7 0 Posted May 10, 2009 Healthwise has a long list of Soups and drinks that are full of Protein and are quite tasty. If you have a Magic Bullet, you can put regular Soup in that and blend it for a few seconds. This was okay for me during full liquids.< /p>
Oregondaisy 2,021 Posted May 10, 2009 is there any way to get Protein into the broth? I was told if you mix protein powder in it, it will curdle or get lumpy. I want to low calorie soups!

My doctor sells Healthwise Soups and broths packs. They have 15gms of protein, and you can put them into a regular Soup, or just mix them with hot Water.< /p>

kygurl 1 Posted May 12, 2009 I believe that all doctors are different so I would say ask your doctor and follow his instructions. My liquid diet consist of sugar free beverages like crystal light and sugar free kool-aid, coffee, tea, Water with sugar substitute, broth all varieties, sugar free popsicles for the first and second day then I advance to Full liquid where I can add low fat strained cream Soups and vegetable juice. Good Luck on reaching your goal and please keep in touch as every post I get helps me on my journey as well.
