Gracey 7 Posted June 8, 2008 kathystrick - I knew you were southern when you said you got "ill." I moved to Atlanta from Memphis and no one down here has heard "ill." The rest of Y'ALL are cracking me up about sleeping! I hover b/w thinking the boogeyman will get my foot and "I'm hot and have to breathe!" I start out on my left side but if I can't get to sleep, I go to the tummy. I have an idea that I might be a pillow flipper tho I've never put it into words! My mom irons her pillow cases b/c she likes the way they feel against her face! I prob would too but am too lazy! Oh and one more thing - it's y'all and not ya'll. I'm so proud that everyone spelled it correctly!!! :-)
kathystrick 3 Posted June 8, 2008 Haha! I have to admit that misspelling of "y'all" is a pet peeve of mine. I lived in Atlanta (Alpharetta actually) for 4 months last year! My husband and son decided it was time to move back home becasue they are "too country to live in the city".
Gracey 7 Posted June 8, 2008 That's hysterical! I grew up in small southern towns and definitely like the "big city" better! (Well taking out the traffic aspect, of course.) Congrats on the surgery date! I just had my first visit with the surgeon Friday. I see that you're on Atkins - were you told to do Atkins or was that one option of many? j/w PS - you + all = y'all!!! kathystrick 3 Posted June 9, 2008 I was told to do the Atkins, but got permission to do a sort of modified version. I have liquids all day and high Protein supper at night. I have lost 4.5 pounds since Wednesday! I just have to be sure to get at least 60 grams of protein per day. That has not been as hard as I thought it would be! I figured if I started doing mostly liquids now, the transition wouldn't be as hard after surgery.
