I have my Surgery Date!

Hello Everyone!

I've been coming here and reading post since February and am thankful for this site and all the people that post their experiences on her. I have learned so much and am ready to take the journey. I have been given a surgery date....JUNE 6th ! I will be banded by Dr. Garth Davis at University General Hospital in Houston, Texas. I was told that I will have to be on a liquid diet 1 wk prior to surgery, which I'm thankful that it wasn't 2 wks.

I'm excited and nervous! I'm looking forward to talking and hearing from other June Bansters!

I just want to say Thank You for all the support everyone offers to others... this site is truly a blessing!

I'm so happy that I have to spread the news!!!! I have finshed my 6 months of nutritional class, It seem to take forever. Now I have to wait to see if my INS. Co BS PPO has approved me, My Dr. told me it could take up to two weeks, If things go will I will be with the July banster:thumbup:

I just wanted to say that I also am having my surgery done by Dr. Garth Davis at University General. I am just waiting on the coordinator to call me with the surgery date. I am a self-pay. Good luck to you.

Congratulations on you date! I am hoping to be a June bandster myself, but the school I work at isn't out until the 6th and my only child's 18th birthday is the 10th, so I will probably put it off until after that. Good luck and keep us posted on your progress!
