Hi,

I am not putting anything on the scars right now. At first I put neosporin on them but my clothes would get all oily and yuck. I do put 50 SPF sunblock on the arm scars anytime I am going outside for more than just 2-3 minutes as it is important to keep them protected from the sun. It's funny because where the scars are there is a very white area surrounding the scars. The arm scars are darker than the Tummy Tuck scar which is fading very well. The breast incision scars are completely gone now because he cut around the nipple.

I will be adding more pictures shortly. I just ordered a new bikini from Victorias Secret that will be here by Monday!!

Take care,

Misty

Thanks for sharing your story. Great website. Makes me want to go to Mexico to get the rest of my stuff done! Looking forward to your new pictures. How are your arm scars doing? I want to have my arms done. Were they painful?

Misty,

Great website and you look amazing. I have a question to you: I had my lap band surgery in April, 2008. I have to lose 65lbs. What do you say, can I go for Lipo on my hips and arms?

Thanks so much.

The breasts were the least painful, arms were second, Tummy Tuck was third painful, suprisingly, the Lipo and the butt were the worst! My arm scars are doing good! I keep 50 SPF sunblock on them while outside in the sun, the rest of me is tan for the first time in 20 years. I wouldn't be caught dead in a bathing suit before!!

I need to have hubby take some more pics and update the website. Right now I am very bloated from PMS so it will have to be next week. I am sure I don't look any different, but I certainly feel different this time of the month...blah!

Hi there,

Although you would have to consult a PS to answer that for you, my first inclination is to say no, loose the majority of your weight before doing any PS. You might find out you don't need any lipo after getting your weight off! Good luck to you and congrats on getting your band and making the choice to change your life and your health!

Misty

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
