I went to get a fill and they told me I was too tight. They said I'd have to get an unfill. "But I ate nachos for breakfast!" Then they charged me $365.00. I asked for their director's name and number. Last time they only charged me $100.00 and I got a fill!

Anyway, I woke up and my band was bothering me.... ? I felt like I could feel pressure in the area. I've only felt this once before when i really was too tight. I'm not too tight right now though. I am thinking that maybe I irritated my stoma b/c I drank wine today at a BBQ. I usually don't drink that much alcohol. Anyway, it's hard for me to sleep. It's not super painful, but some sharp pains and hard to sleep on my stomach. I feel fine now that I am sitting up. Does Crystal Light bother anybody? It is to harsh on the stoma?

I am always so fearful that my band is going to 'go wrong'. I feel my body is going to reject the band. Has this happened to anybody? I keep having these horrible thoughts about my band. Why? Please help me! I'm going crazy!

I hope you are feeling better and you find out some news.

I can empathize with your feelings. I am always worrying about my decision and about something going wrong. I did all the research and knew about the chances before surgery, but for some reason, now that it is done all these "what if's" are a bit overwhelming.

I am only 5 or 6 weeks out, so I have not had any fills yet. I am taking things very conservatively. I am not sure when I will have a fill. I just have taken this opportunity to eat slower and much less. It seems the fear of things going wrong and the fear of PBs and other unpleasentries have kept me at bay.

I hope you got some sleep and get to calm your fears with your doctor!

Could it be that your band is tighter because your dream stressed you out. Band tightness can be affected by stress and I don't see why stress in a dream wouldn't count as stress. Hope you got some sleep and feel better.

Well, I found a job! But, my restriction is still up and down. And that worries me to death. I find myself not eating much, getting dizzy, headaches, then I think I have a brain tumor... I don't know what my problem is. I have no health insurance right now, so it makes me worry even more. I always think there's something wrong with me. I want to get my boobs done eventually and I don't think I'll be able to b/c if I'm acting like this NOW, then what the hell am I going to do when I have 3 implants instead of just 1?

I think you should focus on the 75 pounds you lost and the health problems associated with that much excess weight! You are so much healthier now. tHOUGH it sounds like you are suffering from anxiety and believe me we've all been there at one time or another. There are so many good meds now ..like Lexapro a low dose antidepressant with antianxiety qualities. Talk to your doc as soon as poss....hang in there.

I have thought about the anti-anxiety meds... just haven't had insurance to get this ball rolling... but thanks. As soon as my insurance kicks in I just may do that.

My guess is that the wine made you a little tighter and the stress is making it worse. Make sure to drink a lot of Water to rehydrate yourself.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
