Snick 0 Posted May 4, 2008 I was banded on the 29th. Everything seems to be going well. My major issue at the moment is horrible reflux. I called my dr's office and they said a possible reason could be I wasn't getting enough in my stomach. I've upped my liquids intake and am taking antacids but to no avail. Is this normal? It's happening during the day, at night, sitting up, lying down, whenever it wants to strike. Anybody have any advice?
fatcat78 0 Posted May 4, 2008 I really think you need to get back to your doctor again - you are having much reflux - they need to be more helpful and I guess you should demand it. Good luck, Helen
yurmysunshine 0 Posted May 13, 2008 You should not have any reflux at all, unless you had this problem before. Check with your doctor and ask many questions. Usually if there is reflux, then the band is too tight.

Try prilosec for 2 weeks and that should help you in the long run.
