Penni60 45 Posted April 12, 2005 If the honey wasn't poisoned with the gas that we used to kill the queen then yeah we could have just put a jar under the waterfall of honey coming off the eave. SIGH!! What a waste. Oh well. Holly bees!!!! I have never seen anything like that.. It makes me itch just looking at it... Were you able to jar any of the honey??? Thanks for sharing. hagerteresa 3 Posted April 12, 2005 In Oregon we have had a bee mite and fungal problem that has destroyed a lot of our honey bee colonies. Recently thought the 100 year old grange hall had some renovations and when they opened up a wall they found 6 giant nests that spanned the entire length of the wall (probably about 100 feet). They found gallons upon gallons of honey. They ended up relocating the bees to a safer location. A lot of our surrounding farmers depend heavily on the bees for pollination.
