Hello! I joined our merry band (if you'll excuse the pun) last Friday - April 25. The operation was performed here in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where I'm working at the moment and I'm really happy with the progress so far.

My weight when I went in was 123.5kg (275.5lbs) and I'm now at 119kg (262lbs) but most of that is due to going without fluids and food for a few days I should imagine.

Anyway, thought I'd join up to share my progress and draw on your advice as the months pass by.

I know you're some distance from Burma, but did you get any of the big wind?

Well, I was pretty gusty for the first couple of days after the op, but all's well now. Thanks for asking!

(Joshing aside, as you were nice enough to enquire, we were totally cyclone free over here. Just another sunny, humid day...)

Glad you faired well through the cyclone. I have been following it on the news and that is just awful! Living in the southern US, I definitely feel you on the sunny, humid day thing!
