Have you excercised today?

Recommended Posts

Do you excercise and if so for how long and what do u do in your workouts. I know that getting up and moving is way better than doing nothing. I really need to get my motivation back in regards to working out. I have a twisted way of thinking that when i get banded i will be this super chick that will run on the freekin treadmill everyday for like an hour and such... which im sure is poss. but because of my boob factor.. uhhhh no..lol... I would have to wear 2bra's and 3-sports bras to keep them from smacking me in the face...lol.... but really... I haven't really truly worked out in like a month or so which is truly sad.... when i do workout i normally do the elliptical for like an hour and do my abs, arms and such.. I despise squats... :wink2::cursing: but i know they will tone my fat butt.... Are there any excercises that u enjoy? Plz help me get movin.

I havent gone today, but am meeting up with friends at 11 for a 2 hour ride. I have started using the Trikke, which is a great all around exercise machine, plus it gets me outside to enjoy the day. Normally, i get in at least an hour on it, plus weight training nightly in the house. When I was first banded, walking was my exercise of choice and i just kept adding things from there. It really makes a big difference with the weight loss.

Have a great day.....Dave

Yep! went to the gym today and exercised for approx. 70 minutes (arms, legs, squats, ellyptical). Spent last 3 days without moving my butt, so it was high time I did something for myself.

No pain, no gain!

I am not banded yet,I am waiting for my surgery date. I am currently walking my dog for an hour a day five days a week. Also, I have just recently added going to the gym after work 2 days a week to walk 30 mins on tredmill and use the weight machines.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
