OT: You HAVE to read...

Recommended Posts

Jemima J. it is by Jane Green and is now my favorite book. I am not what you call an Avid reader, but I got into this 400 page book and read it in two nights. IT IS AMAZING, it is an ugly duckling to beautiful swan story and SOO worth the read. Please pick it up if you get the chance, you will not be sorry.

OH, it is very British, and there were some things that I just didnt get (for this TEXAS girl) but it such a warm and inspiring story.. that you get past the parts you dont "get"

This was one of those books that gave me hope that guys really would like me one day. Then I got some cute clothes and a great attitude and I did just fine. Now that I've had the band...the boys really need to watch out. Well, a certain one right now, anway. I'm an animal!

The author really does a good job of getting to the heart of the issues of dating and being overweight.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
