TracyinKS 7 Posted April 29, 2007 BELLY SHOT! My port is not actually under an incision site it is under the skin between the two larger incisions. I was suprised when my doctor pointed this out to me... Note I just took off the bandaids and shrink wrap so, I have some welts. Here is a link to the pics of my actual band! I asked the doc for these http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l166/tracyinks/tracybandsm.jpg
Megsie 0 Posted April 29, 2007 Hi all, here are pics of my "port scar" 1 day after surgery and at 7 months. I had 4 scars in total. You can see 3 in the second pic, the fourth is almost invisible now. I think my port scar is kinda big which is a bit upsetting. My surgeon might have combined two holes as it seems most other people have 5 scars.

tekymom 0 Posted May 6, 2007 Four weeks post op. I had issues with my port incision. They thought it was infected. I was on 3 different antibiotics. Then they decided I was having a reaction to the tape or an internal stitch or something. Anyway, it didn't heal right.

tekymom 0 Posted May 6, 2007 Thanks Adorable. It is pretty painful, but it is healing and I'm in no danger of losing my port. That is all I worried about!!! I am a shrinking violet also. I just discovered the thread today. :clap2:
annalesa83 0 Posted May 16, 2007 as anyone gone through anxiety before having this done. I feel so overwhelmed with everything to learn before, during and after. I also want to ask about people saying that they are not losing and gaining. Does anyone think that they are not complying or is there an issue with the procedure..thanks for always helping me in here

Daisalana 33 Posted May 18, 2007 Anna, you'll probably get more responses if you make your own thread or post somewhere else I don't think this thread is frequented often and is about scars!

cmaiorano 0 Posted June 15, 2007 hello I had my surgery on March 5th, they are almost gone but have the same yellow purple thing going on. For my port I have about a 4" cut they had a hard time getting it in the bruse was awful, I had staples everywhere. Today they are just pale pink. It is my badge of curage so to speak. I am really ok. with it. I have lost 67 lbs to date I just had my very first fill 3 weeks ago. My weight loss was so good the Dr. let me go until I told him I was getting hungry each day. Now I am eating like a bird and when I rush I get the golf ball pain thing going on ----then I stop because food is so un-important to me now.
Serena 0 Posted June 16, 2007 I was banded on June 4th. Right away I could see that at least 40% of my abdomen was the color of eggplant, and it hasn't faded at all. There are even large Patches (like 10" x 3") on the sides not even near the incisions, and a few places on my back. I don't bruise easily. No one actually saw my abdomen post-op and beyond and I assumed everyone was purple after surgery. Did this happen to anyone else?
