Knottafatty4ev 1 Posted April 23, 2008 If you don't have any blood sugar problems, I think this is totally healthy. Lots of Fiber.< /p>
ChrissyB 0 Posted April 24, 2008 It sounds like it's working for you so I wouldn't worry about what someone else says.
Jachut 487 Posted April 24, 2008 I think they're healthy foods and wouldnt see why you would need to limit them. They're starchier than other choices, but in the context of a lapbander's diet they're hardly excessive.
slimmy120 2 Posted April 24, 2008 ep seem satisfied with these foods so will keep eating them.
aubrie 6 Posted April 25, 2008 Just keep in mind.... These are definately starchier and higher calorie fruits and veggies. As you progress and your weight loss slows, you may want to consider limiting them, or switching them out with lower calorie choices to avoid the dreaded plateau. Also remember. Those things have skins. I read on this board where many folks, as they are tightened up with fills, can't eat the same foods, and veggies and fruits with skins were one of the problem areas. Just keep in mind that you may have to adjust and alter as you go, but yes, these are healthy foods.

Yes will decrease my yummy starches if finding not losing enough weight, i cannot tolerate potatoe skins at moment, never had problem before.
Fanny Adams 7 Posted April 27, 2008 Those are my favourite veges too and I would have at least one of those at every evening meal and occasionally all of them. However, I limit the portion size to 1 baby potato (max 1" diameter) or 1/4 cup of mixed peas & corn, etc. My mid-morning snack is almost always a dozen pitted prunes - I find this really helps with Constipation problems :smile2:
soriminah 0 Posted April 27, 2008 Life wouldn't be worth living if I couldn't eat potato and corn. They're my fave veges.

aubrie 6 Posted April 28, 2008 Not that it's a big deal, but let me point out that corn is not technically a veggie. It is a grain just like oats, rice and wheat.
