BCBS BlueChoice Health Plan

Recommended Posts

I live in SC and work for the state. I have BCBS BlueChoice Health plan. I have just started researching the lapband. I have an appt with my family dr on the 28th of April. I have my first seminar on May 5th. I have also called my insurance comany and they said they wont cover this.

Does anyone else have this insurance comany and going through the same problem, or can you tell me how to get them to cover this.

The issue is with your benefit plan design - not your insurance company. Your employer chooses what services to cover based on cost. Some states mandate covereage for fully-insured or HMO plans. Some don't. If not mandated, the employer usually has the option of purchasing a rider to cover the procedure. If your employer is self-insured, then your company chooses what they want to cover. I'd check with your HR dept. They may be able to confirm whether or not they decided to cover such procedures, just in case you got wrong info from the plan. Best of luck!

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
