What do you eat??

Recommended Posts

After my last fill I have awsome restriction. Yesterday I had 1 boiled egg (ate very very slowly) Worked out for 2 hours, Had a bunch of Water, Then Went out with friends and had 1 yes ONE taco And for dinner I had a VERY very small amount of an asian noodle dish with shrimp and chicken and veggies. (third time I have ate on a single protion serving and still have some left for today)

I try to get my Water in BEFORE meals. If I am super thirsty after a meal I will take a super small sip and hold it in my mouth.

OMG... i have to agree with everyone here. After my first fill I could not get enough of my scrambled eggs. I think I was craving the protien in the them. I also really enjoyed my packet of sugar free oatmeal every morning. Now, I can forget about both of those. They make me so sick. I only tried eggs once after my last fill and that was enough to make me never want to look at an egg again. I have thought about going back to the doctors to have some taken out but I think maybe it is just because I am frusterated. It is hard for me to be able to find things to eat recently. But that just might be my mind missing certain foods. I am happy with weight loss thus far. I never dreamed this would have gone so well for me so the food is just a small price to pay for happiness.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
