I'm so jealous! I want to do that! AHHHHH!

Granted, out of the 3.25 mile loop that I run, I've got maybe half of that running... maybe I need to up the ante a little...

I do get a LITTLE tighter after a hard workout, but it's almost never bad enough to where I can't eat.

Good luck! That's so awesome!

Oh I always get late to the conversation.

Drink while you are running regardless of your thirst. It's hard to catch up when banded. I've seen runners with belts that hold many little bottles of Water. I'm guess that's so they can evenly distribute the weight they are carrying on their bodies. No?

Cliff makes Cliff Blocks you might want to chew/suck on.

I'm working myself up to a 100 mile bike ride in two weeks. They suggest we stop every 25 to fuel up.

BTW, I'm so excited for your run! I don't see distance running on my horizon, no more than a 10K, you are a ROCK STAR in my book!

thanks Juli,

dont feel much like a rock start right now ...

but, tomorrow is another day, right?

i do have a belt and it has room for a Water bottle, but i just wasnt thirsty during my 9-miler... **shrug** i will make myself drink and eat (splurging on sour cherry jellie bellies) during the race... mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

best of luck on your 100 miles... i cant even fathom that long on a bike!!!

Do eat during the race, it makes a huge difference. I find a gel after 10km really gets me going again. And yes, of course, drink regularly.

I only get tight when I stop.

I did 67 miles yesterday and it was a little over 5 hours. I need to bike faster/smarter.

I love it though!

I can't imagine running for more than an hour. You get my respect.

i get really tight after pilates---I go at night and then after I can eat anything!--and I am really hungery----but then for 2 days I can't get anything in other than liquids!--I was wondering if it had to do with working the abs?---I only go 1 or 2 per week so far---should I go more?---I can't run or anything like that --I have bad knees and legs---pilates is the only thing I like----and hopefully i won't have to have a tummy tuck----but not being able to eat makes my DH crazy--he gets really worried and just starts makeing any kind of soup---

would a mucle relaxer help?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
