So I posted a whine in general support but I want to ask all of you...

Has anyone else been kind of crazy emotional lately? I have been since I got my fill.

Crying, and then crazy happy, and then sobbing over everyday occurances. Please tell me I am not the only one going through second puberty over here.

I have been on an emotional roller coaster since surgery. At first I thought it was the liquid diet and lack of real food, but no it isn't. I'm sure that I'm making everybody around me nuts. Sometimes I feel so good, so optimistic and happy. Other times (maybe just minutes later), I feel depressed and pessimisstic and teary. I'm also under a lot of pressure right now at school. I work full time and take college classes full time and finals are coming up. Maybe I'll feel better after that.

As a matter of fact, you probably aren't the only one experiencing these symptoms. It actually has nothing to do with the band, being female or anything else. It's just that time of the month.....:wink2:Get your mind out of the gutter! The full moon occurred at 625am today(at least in Central Time zone).

I have seen countless examples of the full moon affecting behavior. When I was an EKG tech in a hospital almost 30 years ago we could count on weird things, accidents, emergencies, happening on or about the full moon. I work in a call center now and we can always tell by the behavior of our customers that the full moon is approaching. The closer to the full moon, the more bizarre the behavior we see.

Seems like the best way to deal with the full moon is just to keep out of the line of fire. So I suggest go to bed, take a book, tell DH or SO to take a hike and wait it out.

Good Luck

Well I hope it sorts itself out.

I never knew I was a psycho, and I think that this fact is surprising others as well.

I feeling good at the moment though

It's probably a combination of hormones, full moon, and psychosis. If it helps, I'm a psycho, too!!

Me too! And any of those possible explanations is better than MENOPAUSE! ARGHH! It can't be, it just can't be!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
