Oh Gross! Hide the chicken from your pets.

Recommended Posts

So I invited some people over to cook them a healthy meal. I was going to make baked chicken breast, aspargus with fat free swiss cheese, and squash....

Yeah. I WAS. As I was taking my chicken out of the fridge where it was thawing the phone rang. I went and answered it and it was one of the dinner guest calling to confirm the time. I left the five large chicken breast on the counter for exactly two minutes not within my sight.

When I got back to the kitchen they were gone. I called my girlfriend from the bedroom and asked her "wadda ya do with my chicken?"

"huh" she replied and we both looked at her 78 lb black lab maggie. 5 chicken breast she ate in two minutes.

She freaks out and called the vet who told her to make the dog swallow hydrogene proxide to throw it up or she would have horrible diarrea for a week. So here I am forcing oxegenated Water down a 80 lb dog to make her vomit my dinner. She did. 5 peices of chicken completely whole.

I had to cancel my dinner. Not that Marcie and I could have eaten after that anyway.

Freaking Gross.

Sounds like a story straight out of "Marley & Me". I have to admit, it did make me laugh....even though I'm sure it was FAR from funny having to deal with that kind of grossness!! Thanks for sharing nonetheless!!

Hilarious and uber gross! One time when I was a kid I had a sandwich on a plate on the floor in front of the TV. I ran to get a drink or napkin or something. When I returned, I picked up my sandwich to take a bite and all the meat in the middle was missing. Damn dog had lifted up the bread and taken the middle out, put the bread back down in the same spot. LOL

My dog brittany once got into this huge folgers can of bacon grease I had been collecting for like 2 months. I had pitched it in the garbage and didn't close door all the way. She ate the entire can! when I came home there were logs of grease she had puked up all over my shoes, on my bed, in the hall. I called my vet and he told me that she would pooh yellow grease for a few days and have high cholesterol. sure enough, she poohed the most grossest stuff I've ever seen! she also once ate an entire bag of hershey kisses. since milk chocolate isn't what kills dogs (coco is), my doc said she'd be fine... she poohed up tin foil for a few days.... I can't believe that dog lived to be so dang old. LOL.

My mom used to keep grease in a metal folgers can too! Have you noticed that they only come in plastic now? So sad.

Your dog sounds hilarious. I just called my partner in to read it outloud to her

A few years ago, I had invited guests for Sunday dinner - roast beef and all the trimmings. Just as the guests were arriving, I removed the roast from the oven to let it 'rest'. I sat it on the counter, and went to greet my guests. After the hello/how are you stuff, I returned to the kitchen to get the wine. I thought something was odd but couldn't quite figure it out. Returned to the guests, had our wine, and then we all traipsed to the kitchen so that I could finish preparing the meal. It was then I noticed there was no meat resting on a platter. I thought, 'You are losing it, girl. It is still in the oven'. Nope, not in the oven, not on the counter, not in the sink. Still not clueing in, I thought maybe I have really lost my mind, and it is in the dishwasher. Nope. Then and only then did I notice that my 100 lb Lab was no where to be seen. I went looking and found him in his kennel licking his lips....

You just gotta laugh!

We had a vegetarian dinner.< /p>

My dog is a huge beggar too!! She is a Lab/Rot mix. We call her a RotandLab. Not a judgement call, just her breed.

Once we were having a potluck with our neighbors and we made a big pot of chili. When we came home, I noticed that the crock pot bowl was on the floor. There was no mess or anything. I thought it was one of those situations where my kids were looking for something in the cupboard and moved it out of the cupboard and set it on the floor, and then forgot it. Later my hubby asked where the other pot of chili was. He said, "I made two batches. A regular one to take with us and a hot one to keep for us." I knew right then. I called the vet and he said that it was too late to give her anything. There was not a drop of chili in the kitchen. She licked the whole thing up. (Good dog!) Unfortunately, what goes down, must come out! Needless to say, she was pretty miserable for almost a week. Plus, she had to live on the deck, because she was so stinky! It wasn't pretty. We bought a special power washer for our deck that fall. I told her that my theory on food is that it should not hurt, on the way in or the way out. But she doesn't listen. She still begs for chili!

Dogs have short memories when it comes to food. It seems like you feed them then five minutes later they have forgotten they have eaten and are starving they think....kind of like me six months ago.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

      2. BlondePatriotInCDA

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
