New to group, banded for a year.

Recommended Posts

Just found this group. Banded March 19, 2007 and have lost 70 lbs. Need the input and info from others. I'm retired and fulltime in our motorhome. Many temptations to eat the wrong food but I've learned it's a real head game with me. I just love food! Have learned a lot on my journey but have much to learn.:crying:

Welcome Bette....

Totally off-topic question -- how do you like being full-time in your motor home? I have romanticized the idea of doing exactly that and wandering the country.

We love our new lifestyle. Sold our house in July, liquidated everything except what we need in the RV. We bought a 2008 Tiffin Phaeton motorhome and have been very happy with it. Joined Thousand Trails Preserves and stay 21 days then move to another one. Sightsee on the way and the area around the preserve. Meet wonderful people and see great scenery. So fare we are happy with our decision.

Thank you, but I have about the same amount to lose. This is avery interesting experience. I'm learning a lot about myself. How about you?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
