Do you like the new look of LapbandTalk? I don't.

I don't like the look of the new LBT website. I prefered just seeing the various catagories to go to. Maybe I need to give it more time. Does anyone else feel the same about the new look?

If you prefer the old style you can hit forums on the top of the page and it goes back to the old style.

That's what I've been doing!

I like it, I can access more things mre quickly. It took me a while, I am on other message boards that are set up the 'old' way and i am used to them.

Yeah, I'm not too keen on it, but when I found out I can click "Forums" at the top.. it's just one more step when I'm browsing, but at least it's still there.

Not a big fan yet, I hope I just have to get used to it... but it was so easy before when I knew where everything was...

I have all the forums I go to bookmarked. I hit my bookmark and each forum section opens up in a tab. So I never even see the home page unless I specifically go there.

I just hit New Posts most of the time anyway, so haven't noticed much of a difference.

But since I'm not paying anything and think this is a fantastic site for support, I'll give the update a :rolleyes2: . The new magazine articles / podcasts stuff looks like it could be interesting. Haven't had a chance to explore yet.

I'm with you MollyMolly. I kind of like the old way better...but as long as they are not charging me I love this site no matter what they update. Oh, but the new lady at the top- beautiful and inspiring.

I love having BBK up at the top, but no I don't like the new format. I know, I know I can click on different stuff to make it look the same as it used to, I'm just resistant to change.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
