Hi

My name is Melanie. I live in Elkridge, Md with my husband and 2 boys. I am scheduled to be banded on Tuesday the 22nd! I am so excited but at the same time I am so nervous to have surgery!!!! Can anyone give me any tips on how to stay calm these last 6 days of waiting????

Hi Melanie and welcome to LBT! Congratulations on deciding to get banded, only a few more days! Honestly, I had no problem with nerves prior to my surgery. I was so excited I couldn't wait for the day to get here. All I kept thinking about was the change it was going to make in my life and how I couldn't wait to get started. Bring it on!!!

Welcome to LBT and congratulations on your upcoming surgery! I was nervous too, it's completely normal. It helped me just to focus on all the postive changes that were going to happen in my life as a result from the surgery. It's the best decision I've ever made regarding my health.
